Help LCBT Nail A World Record by Having a Free Manicure
They’ve done it before and they want to do it again, London College of Beauty Therapy (or LCBT) wants to bring a beauty world record back to Great Britain – and they can’t do it alone. They need a lot of nail donations.
That’s right, you can get your very own free ticket (but you don’t even need one) to become one of the 3,000 volunteers needed to complete the challenge and receive a mini-manicure. They created the record in 2010, but lost it to the Australians in 2011. Now it’s time to bring the record back home again.
Students at the central London college have accepted the incredible challenge of attempting to file and varnish 30,000 hand nails in just 8 hours. Over 150 of LCBT’s trainee therapists will take part in the attempt.
Why You Should Get Involved
This isn’t just an opportunity to be a part of something exciting, it’s a chance to be a part of something that helps people in need as well. The event will raise funds and awareness for Rays of Sunshine which grants wishes for young people with serious illness and The Eve Appeal which helps raise awareness for and fight gynecological cancer. Two deserving charities will benefit from your fab nails, how can you go wrong?
To take part in the event everyone (men too) are welcome on Thursday 10th May, between 11am-7pm at the college’s Great Marlborough Street location . Participants will recieve a free mini-manicure and a goody bag (while supplies last – so get there early). The exact address is 47 Great Marlborough Street, W1F 7JP London.
“We had such fun 2 years ago and can’t wait for it to be even bigger this time round with a great line up of celebrities and sponsors! This is also a fantastic opportunity for all of our learners who are helping to organise the event and will be taking part on the day.” Said Eileen Cavalier OBE, CEO and founder of LCBT.
To guarantee your spot (and hopefully nail one of those goody bags) apply for your free ticket – follow event progress and get access to exclusive competitions and prizes by joining their Facebook Event. The event is sponsored by Marie Claire, Scratch Magazine, Contrasti London, Bootcamp Pilates, HairDazzle, Trollbeads and Mrs Marcos.
