Ashish Gets Unique with CND & Marian Newman For AW12
Recently we have been sharing nail fashion direct from the catwalk thanks the team at CND & Marian Newman. These are just two of the amazing names in the nail industry who are making things happen for nails!
The Ashish Autumn/Winter 2012 line was shown in the Courtyard Show Space at Somerset House in London. The vibe was hippy, using original Indian influences with a unique dash of goth. Inspiration for the nail piercings came from show stylist Anna Trevelyan whose nails Marian Newman had pierced at a recent film shoot.
“The pinkie finger and ring finger were pierced with painted ‘hippy’ charms in black, flouro green and pink that I created and sprayed by hand. These were also echoed in the amazing head pieces that some of the girls wore.” Said nail guru Marian Newman.
The premade show nails were created using CND Shellac colours Cocoa and Romantique layered for the perfect beige nude. Marian Newman and her team of Adam Slee and Monica Ropiha (who came all the way from Australia to work with Marian) plus Natalie, Jane and Hannah – all CND Master Artists from Liza Smith’s Runway team. They did a lovely job of bringing this fab retro nail art back into vogue.
