Minx Covers Camilla Franks Spring/ Summer 2012 Collection
In August Minx Nails spiced up Sydney, Australia as they made an appearance at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival. They worked with Australian designer Camilla Franks who was showcasing her Labyrinth by Camilla Spring/Summer 2012 Collection at the festival.
Celebrity Minx nail stylist Zoe Vokis led the five-person Switch Funky Style Squad who was charged with creating the amazing nail fashion for Camilla’s colourful and wild designs. Before the show, Zoe and the Style Squad went to Camilla’s offices to Minx her and her team. Camilla was sold and the team clearly did a fab job behind the scenes at the show as well.
“We decided to style 7 models with Pink Chrome, 7 models with Aqua Chrome, and 7 with custom Minx layered over a metallic Gold base to represent the different elements of the show,” explained Zoe.
Creating the Fashion
Zoe worked closely with the designer and the stylist to select colors from the Minx Chrome Collection that would work with the designs without overpowering them. She then collaborated with Minx co-founders Dawn Lynch-Goodwin and Janice Jordan to create custom designs that would enhance the vibrant color in the show.
“Everyone attending the show was totally blown away by the custom nails that matched the fabric perfectly, and layering them over a metallic Minx base really gave extra impact and pop.” Said Zoe.
Zoe and her team also provided Minx for Camilla’s new Look Book, available later this year. We think they work great together and absolutely love the look here at Inspirationail. We’ll definitely be checking out the Look Book when it’s available.
