2014 FreeFrom Skin Care Award Details
The third annual FreeFrom Skincare Awards open this year on January 13th. These Awards are designed to celebrate and encourage skincare and cosmetics manufacturers who create products that exclude many of the allergens, chemicals, fragrances and artificial additives associated with skin and health concerns, ethical and environmental concerns, and which may appeal to those looking for purer or more natural cosmetics and products for their skin, including those with problem skin conditions.
This is the third year the Awards are taking place and there are already an impressive twelve categories, including new categories for Hand, Nail and Foot Care as well as Hard Soaps. Returning categories are Family Skincare, Men’s Grooming, Hair Care, 2 Bodycare categories (‘Leave On’ & ‘Wash Off’), Face and Body Oils/Serums, Make Up, 2 Face Care (‘Leave On’ & ‘Wash Off’) & Problem Skin.
Hand, Nail and Foot Care Category
This new category encompasses products for hands, feet or nails, including hand washes, liquid hand soaps, hand creams, foot creams, foot scrubs, nail colours, nail polish removers and cuticle care products. We have a strong ethos for creating awareness for healthier products & this addition of this new category is super exciting.
Support Ethical Companies
The Awards are unique in that they seek out skincare products with strong natural qualities, which are formulated for skin health, or which are suitable for people with skin or other sensitivities and allergies. They reward beneficial ingredients, the absence of undesirable ingredients, and clear, accurate labelling. Awards can be (and are) won by small and medium-sized companies, as well as larger, more established brands.
