2013 FreeFrom Skincare Awards
Following on from the huge success of last year’s first ever FreeFrom Skincare Awards, entries for 2013 have already topped 2012’s total & with good reason, they are amazing products that need to be seen.
Research shows the number of people suffering from allergies & intolerances continues to rise – as does the number of those concerned about our environment & what goes into the products we use. Freefrom skincare products are ‘free from’ many major allergens, all petrochemical derivatives & other potentially problematic ingredients – so are perfect for these consumers. This may explain the huge success of the FreeFom Skincare Awards in their launch year.
To accommodate the burgeoning interest there are twelve categories in this year’s awards including Babies, Kids, Teens & Mums-to-be, Men’s Grooming, Make up & Nail Care, Problem Skin & an award for Best FreeFrom Skincare brand.
“We are delighted with the number of small new brands who are entering this year,” says awards co-ordinator & deputy editor of SkinsMatter.com, Alex Gazzola. “But it is also great that the more established brands such as Green People & Inlight Organic remain big awards supporters & have entered an exciting range of products across categories.”
Starting the Year Right
To celebrate the opening of the awards in January, SkinsMatter.com have launched a new monthly newsletter, featuring ‘tried & tested’ reviews of skincare products; news of product launches; articles on natural skincare & problem skin conditions (eg eczema, acne); awards news & much more. Initial judging for the Free From Skincare Awards takes place in March, with a month of shortlisted product trials by Beauty Bible testers in April & the last sessions of judging in May. The presentations of winning entries will take place at the Allergy & FreeFrom Show in June.
