Vitamin E For Healthy Nails
Vitamin E is an antioxidant & thought to help prevent or delay chronic diseases associated with free radicals & is involved in immune function.
As the body ages it produces less oil & moisture so as we grow older our skin gets thinner & our nails can become brittle. This vitamin is therapy against the free-radicals that age us & helps to replenish oil levels in the nail plate.
Topical application of oils containing vitamin E (especially when paired with jojoba oil) helps to keep nails moisturised & flexible.
The molecules of this nutrient are too big to penetrate nails, but jojoba oil molecules are small enough & will pull the vitamin E molecules into the nail with them.

This vitamin is only found in plant sources, so eat your greens.

Wheat germ oil, almond, sunflower seeds & oil, hazelnuts, nuts, spinach, broccoli, soybean oil, kiwi, mango, tomato, sunflowers seeds, avocado, soy oil, corn oil & olive oil.
Signs of Deficiency
If you don’t get enough vitamin E your nails could become thin, ridged, peeling and/or split.
Time To Eat Your Vegetables
Like vitamin C, this nutrient means that you have to eat your fruit, vegetables & healthy oils to keep those nails strong and supple. Don’t just do it for your nails, do it for your whole body.
