Save A Bunny – Use Cruelty Free Nail Polish
We feel pretty strongly about cosmetics being tested on animals. It’s just wrong, and companies who practice it should be avoided. In fact, we feel so strongly about it that we are proud to say our store only stocks cruelty free brands.
Yes, Even The Rats…
Whether it’s a cute little bunny, a mouse, or even a rat, we don’t think they should suffer so we can have colourful nails. This is especially true when you consider the many fab brands out there who create their amazing products without testing them on animals. Our list is just for varnish, but thanks to PETA you can find cruelty free brands for everything you use.
Not just better for the critters, these brands are all 3-free so they are better for you too!
See How Easy It Is?
There are so many brands out there that make responsible decisions, it should just feel wrong to choose anything else. Remember, every dollar you spend is a vote for the company you are buying from. Be sure to choose brands that help you sleep at night.

You forgot Zoya! We only use Zoya and Nubar at our spa.
Thanks Wet Paint Spa. Zoya definitely deserves a place on the bunny safe list, and we’ve added them!
Don’t forget The Painted Nail by Nubar. No carcinogens, vegan and cruelty-free!!!!
Save the Planet and look fabulous doing it!
If you know a brand we’ve missed out than let us know in these comments and we’ll be sure to include them.
Hi, I was wondering is Barry M cruelty free?
Hi Claire, as it turns out they are: http://www.barrym.com/info/animal-friendly.asp Thanks for sharing them with us – they’ll be added to the list.
I was wondering about Deborah Lippmann–I know the polishes are vegan, and 3 free (I think). But I can’t find any info. Thank you
Whoops I found it! LOL I went right by it! Thanks again
Hi, I just wanted to say thank you so much for the effort you’ve put into this!
I was wondering whether OPI and Essie are cruelty free brands because I’ve seen a lot of conflicting information. (some say they are, others disagree… but PETA lists OPI as a cruelty free brand)
Thank you!
OPI have left the statement below Lizzy.
Lizzy,
We are a cruelty-free brand and always have been. As huge animal lovers we can’t imagine ever testing our products on them. As a matter of fact, many of our products are tested internally on our own employees. We’re also a ’3-Free’ brand and have been since 2006. Hope that answers your question!
That is fantastic news. We appreciate you coming by to clarify
How about Revlon and Wet N Wild?
Hello, I was wondering how up to date this website is? because OPI, from what i seen on many different websites, that OPI got bought out by coty (which is a company that tests on animals) please let me know? And OPI was bought out by Coty from 2010, please and thank you
Alexis
Revlon is cruelty free, I just checked PETA’s site.
I was really excited to see this list. Then I compared it to leapingbunny.org’s list of approved companies that don’t test. Their list is the most reliable one out there, recommended by the US Humane Society. The only companies on your list that made theirs are Beauty without Cruelty, Hard Candy and Priti NYC. Here’s a link. http://leapingbunny.org/images/cciclist.pdf
