Minx Storms Russian Fashion Week with Alexandra Serova’s Spring/ Summer 2012 Collection

Rocking nail fashion all over the world, Minx Nails recently made their way east for Russian Fashion Week where they worked with famed Russian designer Alexandra Serova for her Spring/ Summer 2012 collection.

Models strutted their stuff down the catwalk wearing a sweet and sassy combination of Golden Lightning, Silver Lightning and mixed metallic colours layered with designs in Pale Pink, Gold and Silver Blossom.

Alexandra’s new collection, “Empire Revival,” contains rich silk, lace, velvet and brocade that bring to mind delicate, detailed gowns from the Renaissance era.

The Team

Mirka Poikkeus led the nail team for the show, her team included stylists Elena Alekseeva, Olga Bylinina and Anna Kirilluk who Minxed the 15 models displaying the new collection.

Hand made and one-of-a-kind, each masterpiece in this collection was manually embroidered with Swarovski crystals, beads, spangle and semiprecious stones.

Hitting the Mark

As usual, the bustle of backstage makes Minx a great choice for nail fashion. No drying time and the ease of application meant that costume changes were a breeze and nail coatings could be layered to change the overall look quickly.

“Minx was the perfect choice for Alexandra’s collection, as the rich metallics and layering were perfect complements to the elaborate, lush creations.” Said Mirka.

Even the Entertainment

The violinist who opened the show with a musical score was also proud to show off her nails. She wore customised Minx to match her own lovely Alexandra Serova dress.

The designer herself wore black Minx to the show.
